The Berlin victory column is located on the 17th of June Street in the borough of Tiergarten. It was built in 1873 as a monument to German victories in the wars against Denmark (1864), Austria (1866) and France (1870). There is a publicly accessible vantage point on the top. The golden woman represents the goddess Viktoria and is called Golden Else by the Berliners.
